I had an “Ah-Ha” moment this summer I’d like to share with you. I’m sure all of you are familiar with the Serenity Prayer – a 27-word prayer that is used in many 12-step organizations throughout the world. But did you know those 27 words are just the beginning of a very powerful prayer? Here is the COMPLETE Serenity Prayer:

God, Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

The Courage to change the things I can

And the Wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;

Enjoying one moment at a time;

Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.

Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is – not as I would have it.

Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;

That I may be reasonably happy in this life,

And supremely happy with Him, forever, in the next.

Amen.

I literally stumbled upon this prayer and it helped me get through the summer, one day at a time, one moment at a time. I hope you, also, are blessed.

Respectfully -- Faye J.
